What Clients Say

In their own words

ST

Somchai Thongchai

Bangkok, Thailand

"After working in both Thailand and Singapore for many years, I could not get a clear picture of what I was actually entitled to from each system. The records reconciliation Anantara Law produced was the first document I had seen that laid it all out coherently. It took the guesswork out of a situation that had been weighing on me for some time."

Natalia Woźniak

Polish national, resident in Bangkok

"My situation was complicated by contributions in three countries, and I was not sure anyone local would be able to deal with the Polish side of it. Anantara Law was straightforward about what they could and could not do directly, arranged coordination with a correspondent in Warsaw, and kept me informed throughout. I appreciated the honesty about limitations at the outset."

Prawit Limcharoen

Chiang Mai, Thailand

"I had a hearing approaching and had tried to manage the preparation on my own. It became clear quickly that I was out of my depth with the procedural requirements. The pre-hearing engagement with Anantara Law was methodical and calm. They did not dramatise the situation, which I found reassuring. We went into the hearing well-prepared."

Apinya Mongkol

Bangkok, Thailand

"My late husband's pension had been disputed by the Social Security Office following his passing. I was managing this alone and found the process overwhelming. Khun Praewa handled the matter personally, was available when I had questions, and explained each step in plain language. The outcome took longer than I had hoped, but I never felt uninformed or abandoned during that time."

James Hartley

British national, Bangkok

"I found the fee structure refreshing compared to what I had experienced with other lawyers — knowing the cost upfront removed one major source of anxiety from an already stressful situation. The work itself was thorough. The summary document they produced was something I could actually hand to the relevant authority without having to translate or interpret."

Siriporn Rattanaporn

Pattaya, Thailand

"The appeal process took almost fourteen months from start to conclusion. Throughout that time the communication from Anantara Law was consistent and clear. They told me at the beginning that it would take time and they kept that expectation realistic. I was not surprised or frustrated at any point — which, for a matter of this nature, matters a great deal."

Case Studies

Detailed client journeys

The following accounts are composites that reflect the types of matters we handle, shared in general terms to protect client confidentiality.

Challenge

Cross-border records dispute

A client with twenty-two years of contributions split between Thai Social Security and a Japanese corporate pension fund was informed that his Thai benefit calculation had not accounted for a significant portion of his declared contribution history.

Solution

Records Reconciliation engagement

We obtained certified records from both the Thai Social Security Office and the Japanese institution, reconciled the contribution periods, and produced a formal summary document identifying the discrepancy and its financial impact. This was submitted with a written request for recalculation.

Outcome

Benefit recalculated within 6 weeks

The Social Security Office accepted the reconciliation document and revised the benefit calculation. The corrected monthly amount was approximately 23% higher than the original figure. Total engagement time: eight weeks.

"The document they prepared was accepted first time. I had expected a longer fight." — Client

Challenge

Administrative hearing, two weeks away

A client facing a Social Security Office hearing on an eligibility dispute contacted us with twelve days remaining before the scheduled date. She had no legal representation and her documentation was incomplete.

Solution

Accelerated Pre-Hearing preparation

We conducted an urgent review of available documentation, identified the two strongest arguments available, and focused all preparation on those. We prepared a written submission and briefed the client on what to expect and how to respond to likely questions.

Outcome

Hearing adjourned; matter settled

The hearing officer granted an adjournment to allow additional documentation to be submitted. During that period, the eligibility question was resolved in the client's favour through written correspondence alone, without requiring a further hearing.

"I walked in feeling prepared for the first time. That made a significant difference." — Client

Challenge

Disputed private fund entitlement on termination

Following the closure of his employer's Thai operations, a client's private provident fund entitlement was disputed by the fund administrator, who claimed a portion of contributions were forfeit under the fund's vesting rules.

Solution

Full defense mandate, 11 months

We reviewed the fund's constitutive documents, identified a conflict between the vesting schedule and the Provident Fund Act, and prepared a formal challenge. The matter required two administrative hearings and a subsequent appeal. Written progress summaries were provided monthly throughout.

Outcome

Full entitlement restored on appeal

The appeal authority found in the client's favour, directing the fund administrator to release the full accumulated balance. The process took eleven months. The client received the contested amount plus statutory interest on the delayed payment.

"A long process, but I never felt uncertain about where things stood." — Client
