Built to serve those who need quiet, competent advocacy.

Anantara Law was established in Bangkok with a single purpose: to offer individuals and families a thoughtful, well-resourced place to turn when pension matters demand legal attention.

Our Story

How Anantara Law came to exist

Anantara Law was founded by a small group of advocates who had spent years inside larger commercial firms and noticed a recurring gap: individuals facing pension disputes were routinely underserved. Large practices prioritised corporate mandates; smaller ones lacked the procedural depth that pension proceedings demand.

The founding team set out to build something different — a practice focused entirely on pension and retirement entitlement matters, small enough to give each file genuine attention, and experienced enough to navigate the procedural complexity that these cases carry.

Today, Anantara Law serves clients across Thailand and those with cross-border pension positions spanning multiple jurisdictions. Our office in Khlong Toei, Bangkok, remains the centre of all our work — a deliberate choice to keep the practice grounded and attentive rather than geographically stretched.

Our Mission

What we are here to do

Our mission is straightforward: to give individuals facing pension disputes access to the same quality of legal representation that is ordinarily available only to large institutions. Pension rights matter — they represent years of contribution and legitimate expectation — and the people who depend on them deserve advocates who understand that weight.

We do not pursue volume. Each matter receives a named senior advocate and a small, stable team. We measure our work by the quality of client experience and the soundness of our legal reasoning, not by the number of files we can turn over in a quarter.

"Pension matters carry a particular human dimension. We approach each file with that in mind — not just as a legal problem to be solved, but as a situation affecting someone's financial security and peace of mind."

— Founding Partners, Anantara Law

Standards

How we maintain professional quality

Our professional standards are not aspirational statements — they describe the actual protocols we follow on every file.

Lawyers Council of Thailand Registration

All advocates practising at Anantara Law hold current registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain their standing through required continuing professional development.

Written Engagement Letters

Every client engagement begins with a clear written letter setting out the scope of work, fee, and expected timeline. No work begins without signed agreement from the client.

Strict Confidentiality Protocols

Client files and correspondence are handled under strict access controls. Documents shared with us are stored securely and never disclosed beyond what the conduct of your matter requires.

Regular Client Updates

We provide written progress summaries at agreed intervals throughout every engagement. Clients are not left waiting to hear what is happening on their file.

Peer Review of Key Documents

All submissions and significant written advice are reviewed by a second advocate before they are finalised. This internal check is a consistent part of our process, not an optional extra.

Conflict of Interest Checks

Before accepting any engagement, we conduct a conflict check across our client register. We do not act where an unresolvable conflict exists, and we disclose any partial interests to clients clearly.

Our Values in Practice

What you can expect from working with us

Pension and retirement entitlement matters sit at the intersection of administrative law, social security regulation, and — in many cases — international coordination between institutions that do not communicate easily with one another. The individuals caught in the middle of these systems are rarely experts in the rules governing them. That is where we come in.

At Anantara Law, we believe that accessing legal support for a pension matter should feel manageable rather than overwhelming. Our process is designed to give clients a clear picture of where they stand at every stage, what options are available to them, and what each option is likely to involve in practical and financial terms. We do not withhold information to maintain leverage, and we do not project false confidence about outcomes that are genuinely uncertain.

We work primarily with individuals — retirees, near-retirees, and surviving spouses — alongside occasional institutional referrals where a fund administrator or employer requires independent legal assessment of a pension position. Our Bangkok office is accessible by appointment, and we are comfortable conducting initial consultations by telephone or video call for clients based outside the city.

The Thai pension landscape has become progressively more complex as cross-border employment has grown and private retirement fund structures have multiplied. Navigating it well requires patience, procedural knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret regulations that are not always written with the ordinary person in mind. That combination of qualities is what we offer.
